HOYA Group PENTAX Medical’s VIVIDEO ENT Videoscope Wins Prestigious International Red Dot Award For Product Design In 2015

July 10, 2015, Tokyo – HOYA Group PENTAX Medical, a healthcare industry leader in endoscopic imaging, was awarded a 2015 Red Dot Award in Product Design for the high degree of innovation, functionality and quality found in the company’s VIVIDEO ENT Videoscope Solution’s Video Naso-Pharyngo-Laryngoscope VNL9-CP, an endoscopic device that enables ENT physicians to obtain cost-effective and high quality HD video images during diagnostic examinations.

The Red Dot Awards, the largest and most recognized product competition in the world, evaluated 4,928 entries from 1,994 participants from 56 countries. A jury of experts selected winners based on a product’s level of innovation, functionality, quality, ergonomics, durability, ecological compatibility and other criteria.

PENTAX Medical Video Naso-Pharyngo-Laryngoscope VNL9-CP, part of the VIVIDEO ENT Videoscope Solution which includes a state-of-the-art video processor, offers superior image quality during endoscopic examinations increasing diagnostic yields and integrates HD video recording to capture and document clinical findings. The videoscope has an extremely small distal end diameter (3mm) allowing for maximum patient comfort and the unique flexibility of the insertion tube enables smooth and convenient procedures. The ergonomics of the device makes for easy handling. The VIVIDEO ENT Videoscope Solution was launched in European and Asia Pacific Countries since November 2014.
