PENTAX supports the prevention of colorectal cancer by sponsoring the Felix Burda Awards 2008

February 18, 2008

As an innovative manufacturer of flexible endoscopes, PENTAX Europe LIFE CARE actively supports screening for colorectal cancer, not only with the development of state-of-the-art technologies but also by sponsoring future-orientated projects for the early detection and treatment of colorectal cancer as part of the Felix Burda Awards.

With a donation of €10,000 each for the winners of the Medical Prevention and Public Prevention categories, PENTAX is pleased to be able to sponsor the Felix Burda Foundation again this year in its efforts to promote awareness of the importance of screening for colorectal cancer. The awards will be presented to the winners of each of these categories in recognition of their outstanding commitment in the field of medical and scientific projects as well as for their special campaigning activities designed to inform people about colorectal cancer.

PENTAX can support the early detection of colorectal cancer on a technical level by implementing innovative examination technologies. With its high-definition HD+ video endoscopic Hi Line system, PENTAX provides the highest resolution and best coloscopic imaging to date, thus establishing new standards in this sphere.

Sponsoring the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer and the patients’ well-being are the dual priorities of the Felix Burda Foundation and PENTAX. This mutual goal has, for many years, formed the basis for their successful collaboration in the fight against colorectal cancer.
