Developed with leading physicians from Europe and around the globe, it allowed the exchange of expertise to help us achieve our greatest reward—fostering the next generation of endoscopy experts.
Committed to empowering healthcare professionals, the PENTAX Medical Forward Academy™ curriculum was developed in partnership with leading providers of digital and in-person education to enhance their skills and elevate patient outcomes.
Target Group
Up to 16 physicians from EMEA would be invited and mentored on specific techniques per edition.
Application
All applications are reviewed carefully. Selection of final participants is based on a set of predefined criteria. See instructions on course page.
Location
Trainings are primarily hosted at our training center in Hamburg. Certain sessions are live-streamed via the digital learning platform.
Language
All courses are taught in English. Some business units also offer courses in the local language.
EUS Masterclass
This intensive 2‑day workshop, inspired by the ESGE guidelines, entails studying and practicing various advanced endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided techniques and interventions—tailored for physicians seeking to elevate their skills and become leaders in EUS.
Target Group
Gastrointestinal endoscopists with EUS experience.
Application Criteria
Endoscopists able to perform diagnostic and therapeutic EGD/colonoscopy and independently carried out 100+ diagnostic EUS and basic therapeutic EUS procedures.
Certificate
Participants will receive a certificate after completion of the course.
Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection Training
Six‑month training curriculum
The European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) recommends endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) training across Europe. Inspired by their curriculum, we created a 6‑month program where ESD experts guide participants and teach the necessary skills.
The course entails several steps, including ex vivo and in vivo hands‑on training. Participants can also benefit from virtual mentoring via the Mentix digital learning platform.
Target Group
Up to 15 endoscopists from EMEA, who would like to advance their skills and become future mentors, are invited per edition.
Application Criteria
Physicians with prior knowledge of ESD or who already started ESGE ESD training are eligible to apply.
All applications are reviewed carefully.
Certificate
Participants will receive a certificate after completion of the course.
EBUS‑TBNA Training
The PENTAX Medical Medical Forward Academy™ curriculum for training in ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) was developed in accordance with with ESGE and ERS guidelines for achieving proficiency.
EBUS‑TBNA is now used in many endoscopic centers and is considered the most important tool in diagnosis, staging and molecular testing in patients with lung cancer as well as in unclear mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathy. Our EBUS‑TBNA course is designed not only to educate but also to equip physicians with the skills in overcoming the inherent complexities of the technique to achieve the best possible bronchoscopic diagnosis.
Together with the experts in the field of EBUS‑TBNA and cytological diagnostics, we invite you to advance your skills with us.
Target Group
Up to 15 GI endoscopists from EMEA.
Application Criteria
Physicians from centers specializing in Barrett’s esophagus, experienced in endoscopic resections and RFA/APC ablations (ESGE criteria).
Certificate
Participants will receive a certificate after completion of the course.
