Challenging case with smart access.

Using the PENTAX Medical ED34-i10T2 duodenoscope, Dr. Varadarajulu successfully navigated a complex case post-rendezvous anatomy with a metal stent in place. The Boston Scientific Spy DS II cholangioscope was passed through the PENTAX Medical ED34-i10T2 DEC scope, facilitating direct access through the stent for biopsy and evaluation.

Patients with dysplastic Barrett’s Esophagus (BE) who had poor response to RFA (persistent intestinal metaplasia or dysplasia after ≥3 RFA treatments or <50% resolution after 2 treatments) show significant improvement with PENTAX Medical C2 CryoBalloonTM therapy (CbFAS).

Preliminary Outcomes from the NO FEAR-BE Study (26 of 54 participants):

• 80.8% achieved complete eradication of intestinal metaplasia (CEIM) at a mean of 216.8 days with 3.2 CbFAS treatments.

• The same percentage achieved complete eradication of dysplasia (CED).

Exciting news! PENTAX Medical is thrilled to announce that two new, slim additions to our ergonomic PENTAX Medical i20c Video Endoscope Series have achieved US FDA 510(k) clearance: PENTAX Medical Video Colonoscope EC34-i20cL and PENTAX Medical Video Upper GI Scope EG27-i20c. Additionally, a new Right-Left Wheel extender, model OE-B17, to support further improved endoscope ergonomics, was also FDA 510(k) cleared. The lecture was held at the New York Marriott Marquis and focused on current reprocessing guidelines, the related real-world challenges, and exploring the future direction of patient care in the advent of a sterilizable reusable duodenoscope. The physician audience left excited for the introduction of a sterilizable duodenoscope to the market and the forward movement of sterilization in duodenoscopy.
