In a prospective study* of 2,000 EUS patients, the slim linear echoendoscope (SLE) changed clinical management in 95.6% of cases where standard echoendoscopes failed by enabling a new diagnosis or altering the treatment plan. It was only 1.15% of patients, but for each one, the impact was critical.
The PENTAX Medical Slim Linear Echoendoscope is designed for those moments.
A 10% slimmer distal tip improves access in challenging anatomy, while the 2.8 mm working channel still supports 7Fr accessories for FNA, FNB, and drainage**.
When standard tools reach their limits, having a slimmer, capable alternative can make a meaningful difference.
