A recent clinical study from Erasmus MC highlights how automation can help reduce the risk of infection. Our AquaTYPHOONTM system – a fully automated, air/water-based cleaning solution – has been shown to reduce the contamination rate of duodenoscopes with microorganisms of gut or oral origin (MGO).
These results offer new evidence that automation can ease the burden on reprocessing staff while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Men face a higher risk of developing conditions such as Barrett’s esophagus and colorectal cancer, conditions that often go undetected due to delayed or missed screening opportunities.
Why does screening matter?
For men aged 50 and older, colonoscopy and other endoscopic screenings are crucial for the early detection of conditions like colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Early identification allows for timely intervention and can significantly improve outcomes.
What can you do?
As a clinician, you play a vital role in promoting preventive care. Use this awareness month to emphasize the importance of GI screenings and guide patients in making informed decisions about their long-term health.
