Led by renowned experts Dr. Marc Giovannini, Dr. Raffaele Manta, Dr. Katarzyna Monika Pawlak, Dr. Jan-Werner Poley, and Prof. Schalk Van Der Merwe, participants explored the fundamentals that elevate every EUS procedure and transformed theory into practice through hands-on simulation sessions.

Last week, we welcomed a group of medical device engineering students from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences to our PENTAX Medical Training Center in Hamburg for a student workshop. The day was designed to bridge theory with real experience. By building their own endoscopy cart, practicing with our latest systems, and exploring the full pathway from clinical use to service and reprocessing, students gained a deeper understanding of what it means to develop technology that supports high-quality patient care.
 
For us, this workshop is more than an introduction to endoscopy; it is an investment in the future of our field. At PENTAX Medical, we strive to share our knowledge, empower new talent and foster the next generation of endoscopy experts, whether they choose a clinical or industry path.

Today, we welcomed pulmonologists to the PENTAX Medical Forward Academy™ EBUS Cryobiopsy Course – a joint initiative with Erbe Group Academy. Under the guidance of Prof. Rocco Trisolini and Dr. Miguel Angel Ariza Prota, participants immersed themselves in a full day of focused learning on EBUS-TBNA and the growing role of EBUS-guided cryobiopsy.
 
By combining essential theory with practical, hands-on stations using the PENTAX Medical EBUS system and Erbe cryotechnology, the course offered a comprehensive look at EBUS fundamentals and anatomy, while exploring the practical applications of cryobiopsy.

The C2 CryoBalloon technology has been an exciting part of our portfolio since 2017, and we’re proud to have supported its clinical adoption and growth.

Over the past days, we had the privilege of connecting with healthcare professionals from around the world at the European Respiratory Society Congress 2025 – aligned with this year’s theme: Respiratory health around the globe.
