PENTAX Medical continues to champion the needs of the every day endoscopist, this time in EBUS-TBNA, with this Forward Academy™ event.
 
The Forward Academy™ EBUS-TBNA Course provided a valuable platform for learning, collaboration and professional exchange, bringing together experienced faculty and healthcare professionals from Malaysia, Taiwan and India. The programme was led by Dr. Mona Zaria Nasaruddin, Head of Pulmonology Department and Dr Leong Swee Wei, the Organising Chairman, at Hospital Sultan Idris Shah, Serdang, Malaysia. Through clinical lectures, candid discussions, hands-on sessions and live case observations, participants gained practical insights to improve confidence and competence in everyday practice.

A great two days at Endoscopy Day 2026 in August at Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan (HATTM) in Malaysia. The focus extended beyond technology, covering Upper GI, Lower GI, ERCP, endoscope handling, infection management and practical endoscopy techniques. The EUS Training Program, held at Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 27–28 July 2026, provided a comprehensive introduction to Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) through a combination of lectures, live case demonstrations, hands-on learning, and case discussions.

Led by guest speaker and trainer Dr. James Emmanuel, Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, the program enabled participants to gain practical experience, enhance diagnostic and procedural knowledge, and engage in interactive discussions on real clinical cases.

HOYA's Endoscopy Business in Japan Transitions to PENTAX Medical Corporation

Effective August 1, HOYA's endoscopy business in Japan has officially transitioned to PENTAX Medical Corporation through a corporate split, marking an important milestone in the evolution of our global organization.
While HOYA's endoscopy business has long operated globally through approximately 20 dedicated entities, the business in Japan had previously been managed as the PENTAX Life Care Division of HOYA Corporation. With this transition, the Japanese endoscopy business will now operate as an independent company under the PENTAX Medical organization.
This new structure will enable more focused and agile decision-making across product development, sales and marketing, regulatory affairs, and other key functions. By aligning our operations more closely with the unique demands of the healthcare industry, we are strengthening our ability to deliver innovation, create value for our customers, and support sustainable long-term growth.
We look forward to this exciting new chapter as we continue advancing endoscopic technologies and solutions that help improve patient care around the world.
