Slough, UK – 27th June 2012 – PENTAX UK, experts in high-definition endoscopy, will be exhibiting at the 14th British Academic Conference in Otolaryngology & ENT Expo (BACO 2012), on the 4th to 6th July at the SECC, Glasgow. BACO 2012 will provide experts in the field of ENT medicine with a mix of talks and educational presentations, alongside dissections and clinical skills sessions. Representatives from PENTAX UK will be on hand to showcase a portfolio of innovative products, including the complete range of video and fibre endoscopes, which provide solutions at all levels of ENT.

On show will be PENTAX’s Naso-Pharyngo-Laryngoscopes, which opt for a state-of-the-art, extremely dependable technology, with a high level of user convenience. The instruments are designed to cope with demanding applications and routine diagnostics, producing fast, reliable results - even during mobile service. The new addition to PENTAX’s ENT range is the PENTAX HD VNL 1590STi ENT Video Scope. The scope has a miniature, charge-coupled device (CCD) chip built into its distal tip that improves the magnification and colour of its exceptionally high-definition images. The HD VNL 1590STi ENT Video Scope can be used with PENTAX’s EPK-i5000 video processor, which will also be on display at the Expo. Combining high illumination, HD+ resolution and PENTAX’s advanced ‘i-scan’ image processing technology, the EPK-i5000 ensures excellent endoscopic imaging and outstanding precision.

New high-speed and high-definition stroboscopy solutions from KayPENTAX, provide the latest generation of advanced imaging systems and the cutting-edge HD+ technology offers clinicians sharp, extraordinarily high-definition video recordings of stroboscopic and other endoscopic exams. Another offering from KayPENTAX on display at BACO will be the Digital Swallowing Workstation, an integrated portable platform for dysphagia clinicians and researchers, which provides objective measurements of key physiologic parameters related to swallowing.

From Sopro Comeg a range of ENT offerings will be on display: the LED probe advanced imaging system and the Ubicam USB2 digital camera; a user-friendly tool, suitable for rigid and flexible ENT scopes that connects directly to a PC, and can be combined with Sopro Imaging software to aid diagnosis and patient management. The ULYSS multi-view sinuscope is a unique, autoclavable telescope, which allows visualisation of the entire nasal anatomy including the paranasal sinus spaces, allowing full diagnosis with the use of only one sinuscope.

According to David Moore, Managing Director, PENTAX UK Ltd “Our experts will be on hand to demonstrate how these state-of-the-art endoscopic solutions have been carefully designed to meet clinical ENT needs, whilst providing a range of best-value solutions, from premium to state-of-the-art technology.
