PENTAX UK to launch new cystoscope at BAUS 2012
PENTAX UK, experts in high-definition endoscopy, will be launching the latest addition to their range of flexible cystoscopes at this year’s British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) annual meeting. BAUS 2012 offers urologists and other health care practitioners an informative mix of lectures, plenary sessions and skills courses in the field of urology and will take place from the 25th to 28th of June at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), Glasgow.

On stand 621, PENTAX will showcase their range of flexible endoscopes, expertly designed for urethra, bladder and ureter examinations. The latest addition to the range, the ECY-1575K STERRAD compatible Video Cystoscope, is easy-to-use, ergonomically-designed and delivers excellence in patient diagnosis and therapy through PENTAX’s trademark high-definition imaging. The FCY-15RBS Portable Fibre Cystoscope represents a major step forward in endoscope usability. This revolutionary fibrescope possesses superb image quality, has excellent insertion capability and is highly portable, due to its battery-powered light source. The FUR-9RBS Portable Ureterorenoscope is a unique, self-illuminating portable fibrescope that can be used anywhere, without the need for an electrical outlet or conventional light source. Its slim, waterproof design ensures easy operation - and its superb optics are complimented by an excellent wide-angle vision. Both of the fibre bedside scopes retain the ability to connect to any light source using the optional light guide cable PENTAX can supply. Also on display will be the EPK-i5000 Video Processor, which combines outstanding illumination, HD+ resolution and PENTAX’s advanced i-scan image processing technology, to ensure excellent images are obtained when using the endoscopes for a more precise diagnosis.
