NaviAid™ BGE: the next-generation balloon-guided endoscopy

PENTAX Europe GmbH proudly introduces the NaviAid™ BGE (Balloon Guided Endoscopy) to the European Market at the UEGW 2008 in Vienna. With this next-generation small bowel endoscopy device PENTAX offers an unprecedented approach for diagnosis and therapeutic procedures to gastroenterologists.

Conventional enteroscopy concepts previously available have not been entirely satisfactory, either in terms of operability or cost-effectiveness. With NaviAid™ BGE, the first NaviAid™ platform product, gastroenterology departments will now have a system that for the first time combines all performance areas professionally and economically. Therefore, with only reasonable investments hospitals can now offer small bowel examinations to their patients.

The disposable BGE kit can be fitted to numerous standard endoscopes including the PENTAX Hi Line 90i and 90K scopes in a few easy steps. As high-quality endoscopic visualisation of the small bowel is the fundamental prerequisite for precise diagnostics and therapy planning, the flexibility in the endoscope choice enables physicians also to benefit from advantages such as HD+ endoscopic image quality.

The NaviAid™ BGE is manufactured by SMART Medical Systems Ltd. and exclusively distributed in the EMEA region (excluding Israel) by PENTAX Europe GmbH.
