COVID-19 Update: Service Continuity During the Pandemic
Dear Healthcare Professionals,
As a healthcare company, we recognize the role we play in supporting the delivery of patient care. As we all navigate the continuously evolving novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation together, we ensure you that we are taking extra precautions to continue serving the healthcare community. On behalf of the PENTAX Medical family, we sincerely thank all healthcare professionals, from physicians, nurses, reprocessing technicians, and all other members of the patient care team.
Following the latest guidance from local, state, and federal health authorities, including Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we are working to ensure that our practices are aligned with the latest recommendations.
Service Continuity
Despite these necessary changes to many of our operating practices, the PENTAX Medical team remains at your service. We continue to take orders, ship products, repair equipment, provide loaners, and deliver clinical and technical support during the pandemic. We have shifted resources to ensure we can deliver on essential devices, such as portable intubation scopes and bronchoscopes, to healthcare facilities. Our business continuity team is striving to ensure that you have the resources you need to deliver patient care during this challenging time.
PENTAX Medical is dedicated to providing support to our employees, customers, their patients, and those on the front lines in the battle against COVID-19. We will continue to pay close attention to the situation and will adjust our approach as indicated by the public health authorities.
Our Employees
To support our employees, we’ve implemented a range of safety measures at PENTAX Medical that place the health and well-being of our teams at the highest priority. Among these precautions, which became effective on March 13th, 2020, we prohibited business travel that requires the boarding of an airplane, train, or bus; we are suspending in-person meetings greater than 10 people; and employees who can do so are working from home. Those who are unable to work from home and cannot be in our office have been encouraged to volunteer within their community provided they are comfortable.
Regardless of these limitations, our product and service experts are ready and on standby to help. We would be happy to coordinate a video or phone call to walk you through scope handling and operation, reprocessing instructions, troubleshooting, or any other questions you may have. We're here for you.
Sincerely, David G. Woods President and CEO Pentax of America Inc. | |
