Executive Transition Announcement

On behalf of PENTAX Medical, I am writing to inform you that David G. Woods has announced his resignation as President and CEO of Pentax of America, Inc. After 22 years as a devoted leader in the organization, he will depart on July 31, 2020 to pursue a new opportunity.

David has been with PENTAX for many years, first serving as a National Accounts Manager, then Americas-region President, Global Chief Marketing Officer, and finally President and CEO of the Americas region in 2017. He has been a tremendous asset to our organization, we will be forever grateful for his Vision, Passion and Energy.  During David’s tenure, the PENTAX Americas region has grown significantly; he has been instrumental in negotiating exciting partnerships, strengthening our product pipeline, and driving the Triple Aim-focused principles that govern our value proposition today. As a result, we are strategically positioned for continued success for many years to come.

David has expressed his departure from PENTAX Medical with mixed emotions, “I have been blessed to have worked with a great company for more than 20 years. I have many good friends and colleagues who I have been lucky to work with and learn from. I believe the future is bright for PENTAX due to many of these talented committed colleagues. This has not been an easy decision to make for I will always bleed Pentax red. I am honored to have been an employee of the organization and I wish the PENTAX and Hoya families continued success.”

Company leadership has already commenced a search for the next President of Pentax of America, Inc. In the interim, I will act as the leader of the region until David’s replacement is appointed. During this transition, we greatly appreciate your continued guidance and support. Please join me in thanking David for his dedication and in wishing him continued success.
