HOYA Corporation has donated a total of 10 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society and the Japan Committee for UNICEF to support the disaster relief and recovery efforts in the affected areas.

In addition, support activities are also conducted at each business division, such as the following: The Vision Care Division, which manufactures and sells eyeglass lenses, are collecting donations from employees around the world with matching contributions to organizations to support relief efforts in each country. The division will also donate 1,000 pairs of eyeglass lenses through the Turkish Optician Associations.
Also, the PENTAX Medical Division, which operates the medical endoscope business, will donate a total customer value of 150,000 euros (approximately 21.2 million yen) worth of gastrointestinal endoscopes and single-use bronchoscopes to the hospitals affected by the earthquake.
