PENTAX Medical is a founding corporate partner, assisting with the setting up of the BLA, which is a brand new membership society aiming to achieve advancement in laryngology through research, education and training for the benefit of the public.

The first annual meeting takes place at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, and on show will be a range of PENTAX Medical ENT products, including their Video Naso-Pharyngo-Laryngoscopes. These instruments are designed to cope with demanding applications and routine diagnostics, producing fast, reliable results - even during mobile service.

Also on show will be the Transnasal Oesophageal Scope (TNO), as well as the PENTAX HD VNL 1590STi ENT Video Scope. The Video Scope has a miniature, charge-coupled device (CCD) chip built into its distal tip that delivers exceptionally high-definition images. This can be used with PENTAX’s EPK-i5000 video processor, which will also be on display. Combining high illumination, HD+ resolution and PENTAX’s advanced ‘i-scan’ image processing technology, the EPK-i5000 ensures excellent endoscopic imaging and outstanding precision.

New high-speed and high-definition digital stroboscopy solutions from KayPENTAX will also be demonstrated at the event. They provide the latest generation of advanced imaging systems and the cutting-edge HD+ technology offers clinicians sharp, extraordinarily high-definition video recordings of stroboscopic and other endoscopic exams to ensure accurate diagnoses.

From SOPRO COMEG a range of ENT offerings will be on display including: the LED probe advanced imaging system and the Ubicam USB2 digital camera; a user-friendly tool, suitable for rigid and flexible ENT scopes that connects directly to a PC, and can be combined with Sopro Imaging software to aid diagnosis and patient management.

David Moore, Managing Director, PENTAX Medical, said: “We are delighted to be a founding partner of the BLA and are looking forward to working closely with the members of this important association. We are glad to be supporting the very first annual meeting where our experts will be on hand to demonstrate how all of our state-of-the-art endoscopic solutions have been carefully designed to meet clinical ENT needs, whilst providing a broad range of best-value solutions.”
