PENTAX Medical, experts in high-definition endoscopy, are the Official Sponsors of the Cutting Edge Laryngology Conference 2013, taking place in London from 17th – 19th June. Representatives will be on hand to showcase the innovative product range from PENTAX Medical which meets all Speech, Voice and Swallowing (SVS) clinical requirements.

PENTAX Medical is sponsoring the Official Satellite Symposium of the Cutting Edge Laryngology Conference 2013 - “The Laryngology Interventional Clinic, UK experience” features speakers Martin Birchall, Laryngologist, and Gary Wood, Principal Speech and Language Therapist, from University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. They will be discussing the established multidisciplinary, interventional procedures, laryngology clinic at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, London, and presenting a practical approach to offering valuable services, including transnasal oesophagoscopy and injection laryngoplasty to patients.

The conference is expected to attract around 300 delegates from the world of laryngology, including otolaryngology consultants, thoracic surgeons and interventional respiratory physicians. On show at the event, will be a range of PENTAX Medical SVS products, including their Video Naso-Pharyngo-Laryngoscopes. These instruments are designed to cope with demanding applications and routine diagnostics, producing fast, reliable results - even during mobile service.

Also on show will be the Transnasal Oesophageal Scope (TNO), as well as the PENTAX HD VNL 1590STi ENT Video Scope. The Video Scope has a miniature camera chip, built into its distal tip that delivers exceptionally high-definition images; this is used in conjunction with PENTAX’s EPK-i5000 video processor, which will also be on display. Combining high illumination, HD+ resolution and PENTAX’s advanced ‘i-scan’ image processing technology, the EPK-i5000 ensures excellent endoscopic imaging and outstanding precision.

New high-speed and high-definition digital stroboscopy solutions from KayPENTAX will be demonstrated at the event. They provide the latest generation of advanced imaging systems and the cutting-edge HD+ technology offers clinicians sharp, extraordinarily high-definition video recordings of stroboscopic and other endoscopic exams to ensure accurate diagnoses.

From SOPRO COMEG a range of ENT offerings will be on display including: the LED probe advanced imaging system and the Ubicam USB2 digital camera; a user-friendly tool, suitable for rigid and flexible ENT scopes that connects directly to a PC, and can be combined with Sopro Imaging software to aid diagnosis and patient management.

As part of its commitment to sharing best practice, education and training, PENTAX Medical are hosting a Conference Workshop  on “Transnasal Oesophagoscopy” run by Chad Al Yaghchi, Speciality Registrar Otolaryngology on Wednesday 19th June, from 9am to 12pm. 

In the Clinical Skills area, PENTAX Medical is offering the chance for hands-on experience of their latest Video ENT system with EPKi-5000 processor which incorporates HD+ imaging and ground-breaking i-scan technology. This system has a wide range of use including FEES and TNO video endoscopy.

The PENTAX Video endoscopes for both technologies will be available for delegates to handle and experience , allowing you to witness the excellent image qualities and ease of use. PENTAX staff will be on hand to discuss the capabilities of this system and talk you through as YOU carry out the procedures yourself.
