Course Description:
The course Reprocessing of Flexible GI Endoscopes - Essentials provides Nurses and Reprocessing Technicians with comprehensive knowledge of recommended techniques that will enable them to properly leak test and reprocess PENTAX endoscopes. Participants will also acquire the knowledge of various PENTAX procedures, empowering them to respond to problematic situations with confidence and accuracy. This program is designed to work within the specific hospital procedures and infection control as well as CSGNA guidelines. Upon successful completion of this program, the Nurses and Reprocessing Technicians will receive a PENTAX Certificate.
Course Length:
2 hours = Demonstration and practice
0.5 hour = Review and exam
Pre requisites:
Basic knowledge of PENTAX equipment and technical language skills necessary as well as successful completion and certification of course GI Scope Anatomy- Essentials.
